Circadia vs.
Emergen-C.
A megadose of vitamin C with a little sugar, sold as immune insurance. Past what you need, most of it leaves in your urine. We dose what sticks.
Emergen-C is made by Haleon.Heavy on the nutrients you already get.
You cannot store vitamin C
Vitamin C is water-soluble. Take far more than you need and the excess is excreted; the giant number on the box mostly ends up in the toilet. We dose nutrients your body actually holds and uses.1
It targets the wrong gaps
Most people are not short on vitamin C or B. They are more often short on vitamin D, especially through a Canadian winter, and choline. RISE and DRIFT aim there.234
Sugar in a health packet
Around 5 to 6 grams a sachet is modest, but it is still added sugar in something sold as wellness. We keep ours in the same range and skip the immune theatre.5
